Small shower room
Comments (6)That layout would be fab. I have been toying for ages with the idea of having sill's on the outside of the house instead of the inside. All bathroom windows in Greece are built like this so they can put a shower wherever they want in the bathrooms, within reason. I don't know why they don't build houses like this in the UK. It would make we bathroom designer's lives so much easier. If anyone knows why please let me know. Vicky...See MoreAdvice getting bathroom and shower into small room
Comments (11)Hi everybody, thanks for all your suggestions. Both Lauren's and Whizywig's look really interesting. I don't think the door move would work in this case though - see below for the space around the room. I really liked the idea of a sort of 'wet room' shower by the bathroom and had suggested that myself to somebody in a bathroom showroom. But I was advised that wet rooms can actually be a pain, because water does spray about the bathroom and in a confined space, that turns our to be really annoying (apparently). I was told I would need to be constantly wiping things down? I wasn't utterly convinced but not sure why - it could very well be correct! I'd also considered a very low bath with a shower over it (makes it easier to use as shower on a routine basis). I liked that idea as the main purpose of having both was to make both very usable - as opposed to shower over bath and that being a bit annoying for daily use as a shower. However, I haven't seen a low bath in usage, so not sure what they are really like!...See MoreBathrooms - matt finish cast basin
Comments (0)I have always had ceramic basins and don't like the gloss resin basins as they look plastic and the matt resin looks great when new. Can anyone tell me if the matt stone resin cast basins are hard to keep clean. Would be grateful for any advice on minimal with clean lines, wall hung sanitary fittings for a very small shower room Thanks...See MoreVery small Dressing room with awkward window
Comments (14)I love wumi's design too. If that gives you enough hanging/shelf space I'd def recommend the dressing table under the window in a right angle arrangement. I've got a, very similar sized room I've changed into a dressing room. Until recently I had the dressing table on the other wall running parallel with the wardrobes, thinking that was the best arrangement. But having to use the room for an office as well I moved the dressing table/desk under the window (I can't blur the background on my video calls and have open wardrobes) Its made a huge difference and given me so much more floor space in a very small room....See MoreDavid Ash
