Bathrooms - matt finish cast basin

I have always had ceramic basins and don't like the gloss resin basins as they look plastic and the matt resin looks great when new. Can anyone tell me if the matt stone resin cast basins are hard to keep clean.

Would be grateful for any advice on minimal with clean lines, wall hung sanitary fittings for a very small shower room

I agree with everything that's been said. I am looking for exactly the same sort of finish for a bathroom retrofit - going for a wet room. I did find this fabulous range in 'Champagne Bronze' finish: https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/collections/trinsic-bathroom-collection and- https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/T17T459-CZH2O BUT the (Canadian, I think) company do not deal with UK at all. The Yemen is on the list of countries where they have dealers, but not GB! I did email Delta Faucet but they never replied. You do see this range sometimes on eBay and Amazon. They are a bit pricey though and shipping costs are high, also my plumber cannot figure out if the range is compatible with our pipes/electrics/technicalities etcetc So, wake up UK plumbing companies!

Hi Michael, Sorry, but I have to partially disagree with you on this, daylight colour temperature is 6500K not 4000K. Yes, 4000K is warmer than 6500K but it does not give a truer representation of colour. Colour representation is measured using the colour rendering index or CRI. The closer to 100, the closer to daylight. The Megaman LEDs are 80 CRI for each of the colour temperatures. That said, the 4000K fitting will produce a brighter and cleaner feel to the room. However, it can look too harsh at night. 2700K is closer to traditional halogen fittings. It can look duller during the day, but looks a lot more welcoming in the evening - perfect for a soak in the bath. It comes down to personal preference in the end

Definitely prefer Matt for walls, but love oil based gloss for woodwork. I've tried water based soft sheen for woodwork in the past but found it hard to get a good finish and dirt clings to it. I'm getting los of favourable interest in my latest brilliant white doors and skirting. Cleaning brushes is a bit more trouble but well worth it I think.

Traditional bath & modern basin/ shower, help?

Do you want modern furniture? We have just installed a copper bateau bath centrally on a wall beneath a window. We had a copy of a late 18th century potboard dresser base made and painted to house two copper basins. The modern loo and shower are round a corner, sort of in an L, so only seen from some angles as to my mind they would look odd all seen together. In the bath and basin section we've used an early oak chest on stand for storage opposite our basin unit. Floor is stone for bath, shower, loo, all up a step with oak boards and rug for the basin/ furniture area. We're very happy with the result.
