Ideas for our nursery / spare bedroom
Comments (3)I'd split the room into 2 then as i don't think you'll be able to work/ do crafts in the baby's room for a few years and you don't want to be waking them to get out the ironing board etc. I'd give the baby's room 7ft and the remaining 6ft should be enough for storage and desk, if you can get some clever storage solutions, pull down desk etc. I don't know how frequently you have guests but would really consider a sofa bed in the lounge. Other option is do you have a garden where you could install some kind of cheap home office/crafts area?...See MoreOversized floral mural for spare bedroom
Comments (19)Wow thanks for all the comments! Carolina that bed is perfect and such a good price too! I think I've found the bed... the rest should be easy :D MATH I had thought about matching up with the en-suite but I don't feel like it needs to match. This is what I am having in the en-suite, with large white hex tiles, but struggling with finding the right floor tiles. It does look like there is a touch of dark blue in the mural - a few leaves - so hopefully it won't clash. I love a couple of the murals you have posted though......See MoreSpare bedroom help required!
Comments (2)I'd get a shorter, alternative sofa bed, the kind that opens out lengthways. Like the one I am attempting to give away on freecycle currently :-) And put it under the window. As you're planning to use the room for storage and laundry I'd plan a floor to ceiling range of cupboards where the mattress is, so it can be all stored away. I'm a recent convert to the joys of pax wardrobes. Theyre modular and great for all kinds of storage....See MoreSmall bathroom, extend into spare bedroom?
Comments (7)Hi I would certainly cnosider moving the bathroom into the smallest bedroom but it will come down to budget as it will require signifcant plumbing work. If you did that you could then make the existing bathroom into an ensuite for the larger of the 2 bedrooms. If you would like some help planning out the upstairs space to work out furniture placement for optimum flow in each room feel free to get in touch. Its worth spending the time working out how you want to use the whole floor to make the right decisions.
