Need help with architraves and doors colours

Hi everyone, I need to paint my doors and architraves and I'm trying to decide the colour. Since our floor is greyish (see picture), we were thinking on painting architraves and doors in dark grey (our walls are white). However, we are not sure whether both doors and architraves should match or whether to paint architraves white and doors in grey. What do you think?

I think it could look good either way but does depend on the rest of the house/decor. We did our basement windows and doors in slate grey with white surrounds and it has made the room to be honest. Images shown both ways

My house is diamond eggshell brilliant white on architraves, sils, skirting and walls and my doors and radiators are dark grey, same colour as dark grey undercoat

I'd go with a white frame to match internal, then I'd choose a composite door which is coloured inside and outside. These aren't as easy to come by as you may think. My supplier has pistachio green, black, orange! All sorts. I picked a bright red front and black back door. Company whom I bought through and fitted was Windows Solutions Wales in Cardiff.. Fabulous.

Update - alabaster painted oak units, oak worktop, (curved end units and worktop corners) belfast sink, 1100 stainless steel rangemaster porcelain large high gloss ivory 600x600 floor tiles, ivory grout - please see attached look book just still to decide on shade of sage on walls - deciding between F&B Mizzle, Vert De Terre, Ball Green and Cooking Apple Green... Also metro sub/way tiles on walls - whether to go for a sage tile or cream/white... The dining room area off the kitchen will have oak parquet floor which will follow through from hall and will also be in the lounge but Im thinking of following the wall colour in the kitchen through to the dining room for continuity and potentially painting the chimney brest or wall furthest away from and facing the kitchen a darker green complementary colour... Thoughts please

We are planning a renovation, removing a wall and creating an open plan kitchen/dining room. The new galley style kitchen is planned to have Charcoal (Dulux Ticking), and light grey (Delux Dieskau Half strength) cabinetry on window side, Light textured engineered stone (smart stone - imperial Grande) on benches and splashback, with lower timber (brush box Matt) bench coming off the island, with white walls. We also are installing spotted gum Matt finished floors. I want the room to feel light and calm, and welcoming, with the feature being the darker cabinetry. We are installing new sliding doors and window, and am tossing up Aluminium Pearl White, or a contrast colour in the Monument Sorry, no photos. I will try and upload some, but any advice in the mean time would be greatly appreciated.

You do not have to have to fit architraves, you could install over sized frames for example 44mm thick instead of the standard thickness and then have a 12mm groove running up and down the legs/stiles and across the head, the wall finish then would still finish flush with the front of the frame but the groove breaks from wall finish to frame finish, this detail can also be run around the room to form what would be a flush skirting with the wall broken again by the groove. I hope this makes sense. Easier to do on stud walls than solid.
