Comments (30)Thomas you're too critical of yourself regarding the conduit the space doesn't draw your eye to that detail. For me I was drawn by the warmth of the space. Great work throughout. Love the bathroom and the unit your purpose built....See MoreDesperately need bedroom ideas ..
Comments (29)What a wonderful space...first things first. I would get rid of the small readiator, looks completely wrong. How about a darker colour being added to this wall, as it will complement and pull the room together? Also today you can get sooo many copies of old 4-poster beds or maybe even a modern one, especially as you have the height in the room and this room is just right for a 4-poster! The bedside tables could be painted/paint washed in the same colour as whatever bed you decide to get. Also as I cannot see the entire room, a couple of big armoires would look fantastic, but make sure that they compliment the colour of the bed. Throw one or more Persian carpets down. Add a one or two check of drawers + a desk + a couple of chairs with a small round table between them. Chairs, desk, check of drawers would look great French/Swedish style (have a look at Swoon and Alison at Home). Finally chose you fusions and bed throw, best is to compliment the colour of painted wall behind bed! You have sooo much room in here you could have a ball...and I hope you do...whatever you chose to do, good luck... :) PS! Don't forget a nice big mirror to compliment the furniture... :)...See MoreOpen up the living area
Comments (18)Fire escape from upper floor ( as this would be a type 3 space ) I can go out onto the roof over the office as that is single storey or from the landing via a new escape type window. Which means I don't need a kitchen door. Closing off the old side door entirely could be a workable idea having read through a few posts here. Putting a partition and door to form a small hallway outside the office is actually a neat idea and effectively completely separates a home based business from the living space as well as offering an 'air lock' to keep weather out....See Morefarmhouse colour scheme
Comments (6)I think you can go to town as they say with kitchens and bathrooms. As long as they fit in with the rest of the house, then of course you should have luxury and colour. Teal, gold and white will be great for the bathroom, you can make it fit with the rest of the house with the type of fittings you use, free standing baths, fancy traditional vanities etc. We are just finishing our main bathroom this week...........it's been a slog..........the little bit of wall that's on show ( not a lot ), is still clunch, but the tiles are stunning, we have an oblong freestanding bath painted in f&b railings, with white Lion feet . Although we have the traditional bath and vanity, the walk in Shower is definitely very modern in it's look, but with traditional fittings. Must get round to posting the pics.............still painting doors. If I get off Houzz for a while i might finish faster!...See Moreminnie101
