Living Room furniture/colour help
Comments (6)Hi, you have an interesting shaped room. I think you should form a right angle with 2 of the sofas and put the rug with them to unite the sitting area, at the window end. The shelves are not really helping with storage so I would be tempted to move them to the narrow end of the room where the dark grey sofa is now or editing the contents so you don't need them. If I understand the photo right, there are 3 sofas in the room. I would sell one on gumtree and buy a storage coffee table or blanket box to keep toys in. Toys expand to fill the space available so perhaps they could be stored in the dining room so there's space for you to relax in the sitting room after kids bedtime. Because the pink is to stay I would paint the other walls navy and find some huge colourful pink and navy throws to cover the sofas....See Morehelp positioning furniture in awkward living room please
Comments (3)You should consider how you place every single item in the room, not just the large pieces. For example, placing the rug so that it runs across the floorboards, as opposed to along the length of them, will improve the flow of space. I think that a larger rug would actually work better too! A large rug really helps bring any room together....Here are my top tips for placing furniture in a room......See MoreDoes this go? Living room furniture. Please help ! xx
Comments (2)Congratulations, your house looks lovely. I personally wouldn't buy too much before you move in. Live with it a bit, you'll get a better feel....See MoreSmall living/dining room furniture layout advise needed please
Comments (2)Personally, I think corner sofas really restrict positioning and getting 2 gives you a lot more flexibility. Re the radiators, I would try and avoid putting any behind the sofa on the right hand side as the sofa will soak up lots of the heat. Instead I would suggest going for a vertical model instead and putting it to the side of the French doors. Give me a call on 01274 515734 if you need some advice regarding heat outputs, etc....See MoreSi Xian
