how do i dress large windows

new modern house with 2 8 foot windows in living room art deco style see lagan homes Northampton and its the Hemingway for picture. after ideas to dress windows please

As its new build we will not be in until august so this is the only photo. Its the 2 curved ones at the right

Think if you need heavier curtains for winter I would have them on the inside wall, pushed right back so they don't encroach on the window at all (sort of hung to the side) and in the same tone as the wall so they blend in. Personally I would let them look in as it's a lovely window...failing that maybe hang a sheer on the lower window so you can still get light and the shape at the top??

I have decided that shutters/venetian blinds make rooms darker, gather dust and are fairly 'heavy' to look at, so, not for me. All others options are quite ok according to the situation of the property and personal taste. However, if you yourself like shutters or venetian blinds, then they are ok too, just don't expect me to have them. All boils down to he/she who pays the piper calls the tune.

Wow. What a view. I am inclined to say don't cover that view with anything, but i understand your predicament. Perhaps french curtains, or plantation shutters.

I like the double roller blind idea. I wouldn't go for curtains on two and something different on the middle as I think they'd look better all matching. You could also do voile blinds recessed and then Roman blinds mounted outside, I think that's the best and simplest option.

I'd just go for a pair of curtains on a curved rod hung from the ceiling to just above the floor. If you want to pay homage to the art deco style then choose a fabric with a geometric pattern. Or you may be able to find an Art Deco inspired curved pelmet. Are you overlooked so need something for privacy too?

Not literally on the ceiling! I meant take the curtain pole high!
