Lighting for high ceiling and Essex electricians
Comments (11)Hi, Just though it may be worth a quick mention....we are having a sale. This is the perfect time to buy a new light, if you are still looking? Just thought of you and thought sale news may be helpful. I'd recommend looking at lights with chain suspensions as some lights are not suited to hanging from an angled ceiling. Something like this style is perfect. https://www.lightingcompany.co.uk/the-david-hunt-lighting-collection-orb-black-gyroscope-pendant-light-p2164 It works with the colour of your strut beans, it is a great shape which won't compete with your metalwork . Round shapes are really good on angled ceilings as it doesn't have to line up with anything. I too like the industrial cluster lights but could be a little messy looking, just an opinion! @ more reasons to choose the LightingCompany.co.uk 1) We have 2 years electrical warranty on all lights 2) A No quibble returns policy for peace of mind, which is 14 days to decide after you get your new light. If you've already selected your lights we'd love to see the finished room, no matter what lights you opt for. Still very envious of your room, it's a lovely space. As far as electrical contractors you can be assured of the quality of an approved electrical contractor if you search here. https://www.niceic.com/find-a-contractor/find-contractors...See Morenarrow living room, high ceilings, sofa layout?
Comments (7)The best place for a tv is on the furthest wall or on the media console against that wall. Because of the fireplace on the right, I’d place the sofa against the left wall opposite the wall with windows and two chairs opposite the sofa. That way when you are on the sofa you can watch the tv, see the fireplace, have a comfortable conversation with people opposite and have a good view out of the window. I don’t know how much space is around the fireplace, but I’d have another chair with a footstool on the right to the sofa facing diagonally facing the windows. I would also make the furthest wall a focal point and add a storage with cabinet lighting in the alcove and visually balance the rest of the wall. Also it’s a good idea to add a gallery wall on the wall opposite windows and a mirror wall decoration and console table on the wall nearest to the entrance door. Comments (30)@Nicola M (Nicola) well we went to a new local tile shop the other day and she persuaded me to stick with the giant tiles, but still tiling them as brickwork effect. I saw an amazing concrete one that was a nice colour, wasn't patchy but was out of our budget (£40sqm)!! eek. My OH just said to order them as he knows how stressed I have been trying to find something I like, LOL. There were some other lovely ones but in the wrong shape ie 600's which I don't like on the wall personally. I haven't ordered them yet but they are typically special order so I my tiler is coming to measure today so I can be sure to have enough. Hence my questions about where to tile to as we are trying to save money, haha. I was going to do the floor as well so it all runs through but I think it will need some pattern/oomph in the room with all grey tiles. These are the ones in the Gris colour. They have lovely veining running through them which I like. https://www.geotiles.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/CATALOGO-CARNABY-Baja.pdf...See MoreLiving/kitchen area lighting design? Comments (3)Hi KB, Yes this sounds great for the kitchen so that you have focused task lighting for the prep area and the dining area. In regards to the living area I would always suggested softer more indirect lighting as this will create a softer more relaxed ambience. Opt for wall lights, free standing lamps and table lamps all with LED warm temperature bulbs. If you do want to add a central ceiling light i would definitely recommend adding a dimmer too so the lighting level can be changed to suit the time of day. Hope this helps do feel free to message directly if you have any further questions I offer consultation by the hour for any questions you may have ὠA...See MoreMickey Oak
