Need help with choosing a colour for my living room
Comments (20)maria galvano thank you, I love them too and make me smile whenever I look at them, I bought them from a Bedouin woman in Petra (Jordan). They remind me of an amazing trip to Syria and Jordan some years ago, travelling independently using public transport and meeting amazing people along the way, both locals and tourists. Loved Petra so much and the local Bedouin people, went back for a second day to have another look around as well as sit and drink mint tea and listen to amazing stories ... and yes, they make my home feel alive as most things in it have some connection to a life lived. Thank you again....See MoreHelp with living room colours to go with DFS Zinc Teal Sofa please.
Comments (27)Ah, can't be sure, but it looks a lot like F&B Pitch Blue. Keep in mind that colours that you see online will most probably look very different in your home, because the light will be different. Also, photos are almost always manipulated, and all screens will give a slightly different image, so even if they mention which paint they've used, it might look different in real life. Best thing is to try a couple of colours out in your room, not smaller than A4 size really, to get a good idea of how it will look. Good luck...See MoreI need help with dining and living room wall colour
Comments (6)Here are the paint colours in that picture. How dark a colour is does depend on the light. For example I painted my hall, stairs and landing in Pigeon by F&B but because the area has little light it has come out really dark! A lighter green is Mizzle or Cromarty. I have Cromarty in my living room (2nd pic)....See MoreLiving room colours - help please!
Comments (15)Thank you so much for all your suggestions! Really appreciate it. I completely agree the issue is too many colours and the competing grey/blue accents. We're going to keep the blue and now just have to decide whether to put it across the alcoves too or to lighten them up a bit instead. I think either option would help a lot. The pics above are lovely and make me think maybe I should be bold and go for blue across all of it! Also agree the clock needs to be changed - husband seems very attached to it so this might be a challenge!...See Moreminnie101
