help with paint and tile colour
Comments (0)We are currently putting in a new kitchen - howdens burford grey. I have some off white/cream metro tiles and was thinking o of whimborne white paint for walls. I have a sample of the raspberry elephant stripe material for a Roman blind and thin curtains for the patio windows in the dining area. I'm not sure the tiles highlight the grey - it seems to make it look duller. I have a sample of raspberry glass tile, as a possibility to get a whole piece of glass as a hob splashback to bring in an accent colour. Any thoughts would be great!...See MoreOur new build
Comments (6)Hello Kathy, White is really nice if layered to include woodwork etc. You can if you wish use variations on shade so find a white you like and then get a shade up and a shade darker so that the woodwork can be included. It's so much nicer than simply going from Super matt on walls to an eggshell for woodwork in the same colour. Depending on where you are may give you certain brands but I tend to recommend Little Greene as they are water based for walls and nice and chalky! This is I think a gr8 finish when using lighter colours.. :))...See MoreBallpark cost of getting one-bed flat redecorated?
Comments (3)Hi Adrian, I think you need to spend the time getting the quotes. It will depend on the area massively and the type of person you hire as well as if they are purchasing and the sizes of the rooms, any woodwork, windows etc that need doing. Getting several quotes of local suppliers you will have a better idea of what you're getting and what is reasonable to pay for that work. You will also then have something to negotiate with to get the best price from who ever you go with. Good Luck....See MoreHelp! Under flight path
Comments (5)Also background noise is very soothing. Some people like the ticking of a clock or an indoor water feature so you have the sound of running water. Some people have the radio on all day but never actively listen. There are also Compilation CDs to can buy with restful sounds. I have a gentle rainfall track that I put in repeat when I stay in hotels. I find my subconscious tunes into the restful sound and is not alert for the unexpected sounds...See Morecreativeorg
