Started decorating new house

I'm starting on my living room and kitchen and just had these tiles layer I'm thinking a light grey silk effect wall paper but don't know whether to do this on all walls or just one and paint rest, I'm also thinking off having a silver curtain and having the tv in corner and getting rid of couch and putting a lounge chair in to open up the bay also a rug any ideas would bet much appreciated only just started so excuse mess
