Comments (2)Hi Lee, there's a couple of options that would work. You can either use a ceiling mounted pole like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Curtain-pole-lenght-finish-complete/dp/B00TFQ065E/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1477920046&sr=8-3&keywords=ceiling+mounted+curtain+pole Or you can buy a normal curtain pole kit (to match others in the room for example) and fix the end closest to the wall with an end socket/bracket which are usually used for clothes rails. You can buy these in different colours, finishes and diameters so just look for whatever will best match up with your pole kit : http://www.diy.com/departments/colorail-rail-socket-dia19mm-pack-of-2/81311_BQ.prd...See MoreWhat should influence curtain pole choice??
Comments (2)Since you have a brass light and “gold” door furniture you should use a brass pole. That could be expensive, possibly more than replacing the light but there is a cheaper option. We used to use brass finish tubular clothes rail. For knobs at the end we found small brass screw-in cupboard knobs. These were screwed into corks which were shaved to size then fitted into the pole ends. We used proper brass curtain rings. You might be able to find some old ones on eBay. They'd be less shiny but possibly cheaper than new. For fixing brackets you just need the brass colour fixing brackets sold to go with the pole. You might have a problem with the curtain heading as some headings look better than others when they’re exposed, but if you can sew you could change the heading tape - but only if there’s enough fabric for your chosen heading style. To finish off make some tie backs out of the pelmets....See Morecurtain pole width question

Comments (8)Hi, the problem your having is easily rectified, using either a Silent Gliss Track or Metropole. These have ether brackets fitted to the rear, or top, allowing a width of 600cm in one piece, and to be able to use a single curtain.try just poles for the products, and they may be able to help.
