Hello, We built it on site with oak boards and a plywood back. It has 6 HD hinges and an electromagnet lock which opens the door when you move a preselected book on the shelf.

@john clark I have just bought a walk in shower tray with fixed screen with black profile and support arm for £365 from showertraysuk if you are looking for that rather than over shower bath. Like Katie I got my shower (£160) and exposed trap (£45) for the basin from Victoria Plumb, pop up waste off soak.com (£12.99) taps very similar to Katie but with a rounded spout again off ebay (£65) I've not yet fitted my bathroom but I hope it looks as good as yours Katie!!

Hi Cat. I hope this helps - rather than reproduce it here, we've written a series of blogs, hints and tips around this subject, and one of the links is below - it sounds like you are already well down the line, so you'll just refer to the relevant bits. Suffice to say that if you have the time, you can do this yourself. I've always found it best (both as a home owner and as a professional) to engage directly with a number of local contractors and to meet them on site to make sure they really understand the requirement before they price the work (things like access, skip locations and so on they will need to know); I would not trust this to an on-line process. There is no substitute for personal contact where you not only have the opportunity to explain any issues directly, you will also get a feel for the contractor with which you can work best. Part of this selection process is in listening to each contractor's thoughts which are often useful. Hello Karen, Glad you like the image.. Yes I rather love concrete in the bathroom and kitchen and would work beautifully with marble or the tiles from B&M.... Oh? Perhaps speak to Houzz tech rather than unfollow... I love my followers! Not sure how at all that could be affecting your messages but I hope it can be sorted out.. : )) B&M are rather pricy yes it's not ideal for all clients myself included with trade, it would be nice to see them more affordable for all. With those they are very slightly irregular in shape.. It's what makes them special as they're hand made and normal ceramic can look rather pale by comparison.. I think though long metro tiles are nice too... Perhaps marble metro tiles and with those you could consider a herringbone arrangement which would be fabulous.. I'm thinking of another company now but they are even more expensive than B&M. With a metro tile in marble (Have a look at Topps Tiles but they may not have a metro tile.. they have some really good marble and are affordable. With a brilliant fitter and a good eye you can make them spectacular it's not about the name, the brand it's the quality and workmanship that makes something spectacular.. ... Also for concrete sinks Kast is just one company that manufacture concrete sinks of varying shapes and sizes : ))

Stupid design/buying mistake, can I fix it?

No problem. Fix a block of wood to the wall where you want to fit your brackets. Get the thickness of the wood right then your brackets will fix over it. Then at either end do the same to bring the pole out to the same distance from the wall all along. When curtains are hanging you won't see the wood ( paint to match wall).
