Hi. The curtain fabric is quite traditional so I would go for a contemporary take on an oriental rug, something picking up the dark red and cream of the curtains with the wall colour. this website may give you ideas. http://www.benuta.co.uk/oriental-rug-nain-6la-ca-1mio-kn-sqm-green-5-1.html There are different ways of placing the rug but personally I like all front feet on as it really zones the area. To do that, the sofas would need to be pulled away from the walls and the leather towards the door if there's room? I agree with natalie re coffee table. I would also add a couple of cushions with purple trim or a pattern to the leather sofa. I agree! As it is not always feasible to install real timber or stone, Karndean is the best vinyl option. I am going to have 36sqm of it installed in my own place. I have direct contacts with the manufacturers here in the UK. If anyone is interested, please inbox me and will get you in touch.

Hi, thanks for answering... I have kind of dreamed to a style of living room I d like to have and without the rug it would not have the same effect... thats why. I'm still about to buy the coffee table. Honestly there will be like a blank space on the right side of the sofa, thats why I thought about the lamp table instead of the coffee table as I believe it would even more space of the small area I have between the sofa and the Tv stand...

My first thought is the rug is too small. A nice neutral rug big enough to go under the front feet of the sofas will make the space look larger - it really does work. John Lewis have a lovely range of rugs in natural fibres. If the budget is tight Dunelm are good and very on trend. I rather like footstools instead of coffee tables, lovely for putting your feet up after a hard day! They work really well as coffee tables, but best if you use a tray if serving drinks. Laura Ashley have a great range which I think would look really good in your room. The room looks fab and I love the eclectic mix. Good luck!
