Which colour would work with tiles?
Comments (7)I suggest to pick out a couple of the colours in the floor that you like, head down to your local DIY store and pick up some of the paint charts. Try to find as close a match as you can and then go a couple of shades lighter. Get a few paint samples try them out at home and see what you are happy with. I know it is a bit tedious but the effect will unite the floor with the walls....See MoreBraving colour... Maybe
Comments (10)Up to what you prefer regarding paint or paper. I suppose a tin of paint is cheaper to replace if you don't like it. Dulux do overtly olive in their feature wall paint in a 1.25l tin for £13. Olive looks great against an off white or ivory colour for other walls, I'd stick with this for the curtains too or use a light natural shade in a linen. In the accessories use black and/or gold picture frames, black and gold light shades, for the table runner use something natural and use some good accessories to tie in with your mirror. I don't think you need a rug but that's a matter of personal choice and budget - a rug under a table in my house would be impractical as spag Bol would be welded to it in no time. Comments (1)If you are doing Hague in one room then that's great you can have the rooms tie in with the door choice, the colour or the skirting etc and of course by the style. The other rooms sound neutral so it will be great to have that pop of colour. We recently recommended the Hague blue to a client - picture attached - in the north facing guest bedroom too. You can really afford to do something stunning. The rest of this clients house is whites and grey so the blue tied in nicely. We picked it out of the kitchen units where we have gone for Como Blue. If you want to lighten the blue room then use crisp white linen and touches like the skirting boards with adding plenty of texture and visual interest in soft furnishings. I look forward to seeing the finished room....See MoreHelp me be brave (with bath choice)!
Comments (10)Hi Jen! Those stunning baths are statement pieces in their own right :) In our opinion it all comes down to your overall design.... So you need to ask yourself if a coloured one will work with your other sanitary ware and/or tiles. If you are looking to create striking features, you can create an instant waw factor by pairing up a white bath with bold tile work. To your question regarding repainting in the future. If the bath is cast iron you can repaint it. And this would be easier than for instance redoing the tiles. :) You can always have a play with our free CAD software to try out different combinations and see how it looks in 3D.
