Do swivel love seats actually work?!

Thinking of changing my (large) 2 seater and armchair and having a smaller 2 seater and a swivel love seat (snuggler?) instead to maximise the space of my average sized living room. (We have a large window seat as well). Do any of you have a love seat/snuggler and do you find them useful? Can you fit 2 people on them realistically for any length of time? (I'd need them to work as a 2 seater occasionally) Thanks in advance for any tips! Carolyn

Hi,

I had a 'cuddler' from DFS a few years ago.

My partner and I thought we would 'cuddle' on it all the time, but it was just too snug and got annoying.
We ended up sitting on our two seater sofa all the time, which was further away from the TV.
I wouldn't go there again!

I would love to be able to take the bike to work, but when you are a European and used to the other side of the road, it just is impossible. Cycling in central London sounds like a very dangerous ride for me.

Hi. I think it's a great idea. Depending on what you want there could be a few options. Maybe a 9ft L shaped kitchen starting near the dividing wall and finishing at the store. You could then have a narrow table with bench seating positioned against the firewall with a chair or a small love seat in the bottom left corner. Or if you wanted informal dining you could try a bench like the one attached with just a small sofa on the left wall. Or if you wanted a bigger kitchen try someing like the attached but with shorter units for your patio door and a round table at the other end (the image is from bhg and the room is 9x15 for reference). It definitely helps if the washing machine can be elsewhere and I would try to maximise storage by taking cabinets to the ceiling

Sorry Tribbletrouble, I hadn't looked at the site for a while so didn't know you'd responded. Yes she is old (14) but she's always done it and only when you stroke her. Most fun when she shakes her head to give you a mini shower tho! I know it's a sign of health problems sometimes but as she's always done it, I'm sure it's just contentment drool.

Hi Becky! I love the idea of copper and mint green kitchen. You've already bought some minty stuff which is great, you can still use them. Heres what I'm thinking... 1. Get some spotlights in there perhaps underneath your wall cabinets? 2. Love the idea of bringing in more herb pots & plants. 3. Change the tiling to mint green or perhaps something a lot lighter, like the marble effect? It will go perfectly with the mint green theme.
