Grey is neutral and goes with anything. It's also a cool colour as is turquoise, so they will go together very well. Maybe think about introducing a warmer accent colour e.g hot pink or yellow to balance the room and stop it from feeling too cold.

Hi Amy, I love the idea of mixing together both antique and industrial pieces in your bedroom scheme - it really makes a statement and I especially love your Abacus bed! Taking inspiration from your elegant linen covers and avoiding the whites/creams, I’d suggest using our colour mixing shade Steel Symphony 1 as your main wall colour. This calming deep blue shade has a grey undertone which will bring out the rich warm tones from your wooden furniture. I’d suggest using Dulux Matt emulsion as it gives walls a low sheen finish, which minimises imperfections and gives that contemporary look to your home. Another option, if you fancy getting your paint on, is re-creating your very own ombré paint effect such as the image below. Dear Claire, I'd choose wooden floors any day over carpeted floors as they're much more durable and give an airier feel, however if you end up agreeing with your husband on having the room carpeted I'd recommend a warm grey carpet like my design shows below: When it comes to a wooden floor a whitewashed look might look modern but could provide too harsh a contrast, instead I'd opt for a mid-tone warm grey or pale brown.
