Hi there

We've never fitted a potting shed in the front lounge of a caravan. I suspect it won't !

At the moment I never watch TV in the daytime, so glare isn’t a problem. And that window faces North so I don't think it would ever be a big issue.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Not a fan of having it where the previous owners did. It dominates the room too much. I'd like the fireplace to be the main focal point in the room rather than the telly. If I have it on the cabinet (Option 2) I was thinking of building in an automatic TV lift so it disappears from view. I've got plans downloaded from the internet and it looks like a good weekend DIY project!

Hi compo73, thank you. I had to try and remember then, it was at a Grand Designs exhibition at the Excel centre about % years ago. But if you go to love-your-home.co.uk you will see very similar, thats where I think it was from.

I think something like in the below picture would look great. The dining set here would look great too. Add a white or cream large shaggy rug for warmth and brightness in front of the sofa. Darlings Maltino White Rug Add dark purple floor length curtains in a translucent fabric, a glass or mirror pr acrylic coffee table and a large mirror on the wall behind the sofa. Maybe replace the sofa with a model such as our Delamere in a light purple velvet or any light colour fabric, we have 100's to choose from. Darlings Delamere Sofa Range Keep the TV where it is and clear the clutter in the window end of the room. Perhaps add a large potted plant or small occasional chair in the corner where the display cabinet is. and a large basket in the corner in front of the radiator for the kids toys and bits and pieces.

I have taken on board about the tie backs and agree they are a bit dated. What I would really like is a harvest oak laminate floor with pale blue/grey walls and cushion cover that would introduce some blue. I just wish I could afford to replace the bulky brown suite but that's a no no. Do anyone have any thoughts about these colours. I have an awful habit of just getting round to doing things minutes before they are last years fashion!! Thank you everyone for your ideas.
