Need help with kerb appeal of exterior
Comments (20)Hi missmjbs, I've added a couple of photos, I need a second coat (too windy today - I don't want grit and bugs stuck in my paint!) I'm still a little uncertain about the green and was wondering myself about a cream or a more grey green... however I think you'll agree it looks quite a lot different! I don't think my partner will allow painting of the garage doors - I'm still working on that......See MoreCurb appeal help needed
Comments (21)As far as the driveway is concerned you appear to have a sound concrete surface there already. If you can find a good local contractor who is properly trained in Resin Bonded Gravel then you could give you price to change the finish your driveway without digging it up at all. That would avoid a lot of cost and wastage so it is likely to be cost effective. The edging and any areas which are not would need to be considered carefully. A contractor may want to drill out core samples to check the thickness of the drive but it has been used for some time and not cracked then it should be fine. Resin Bonded Gravel is stuck onto the existing surface which will need to be clean and dry at the time. Check that any contractor has been trained and is properly insured....See MoreSerious help needed with curb appeal
Comments (11)Thank you for the pictures! I have seen similar transformations and was considering rendering before posting in this discussion. My conern is that the house is semi detached so not sure if it would look a bit odd having one half rendered and one half not. It is also very one dimensional compared to your examples, not sure whether this makes much of a difference. Maybe changing the windows to a different colour after rendering could give it a bit more definition. We are also first time buyers and don’t intend on living in the house forever so don’t want to do anything too over the top and costly but also don’t want to live in an ugly house....See MoreHelp.. curb appeal needed
