The materials are from the new Olivia Baird collections. Lots of lovely designs that drape very well.

Hi there, Ah ditto with the 60's house! We seem to have a mix of either rooms with no coving or rooms with plain coving. My father wants me to replace it all with decorative ornate coving, but I feel that with the age & style of the house, a plain one looks less out of place and more elegant. Of course it's down to personal taste. The dining kitchen off our through lounge doesn't have any and I'm contemplating not putting it in at all. Not sure if this would look odd or not, but we had bi-folds in and it's quite a contemporary room so doesn't need it (if that makes sense) Another thing to consider is the height of the ceiling. Ours feel quite low and coving makes the walls shrink even more. If you have at least a good standard height then you could get away with them.

Hi Tacey, The clean white form of the kitchen looks lovely, its a nice room. You definitely need lights above the wall units, this will bounce off the ceiling and into the room. At the risk of being too direct, throw the green paint away, you don't need it.. If you want colour in this room use the glass display cabinet and put some beautiful coloured glass in there. I sometimes put Japanese inspired flower arrangements on the middle of islands to add a modern structure and punch some colour in. The advantage to both of these methods is that you can change the colour scheme when ever you like. One idea that would transform the room: Put an American shutter up on the window. White with wide 80mm slats. Make sure the slat control is concealed, don't let them sell you a shutter with that awful rod down the middle. This will look amazing in this room. If you really fancy being adventurous mirror the window wall around the shutters above the splash back. You will need to make templates and have the mirror cut to those to ensure a perfect fit. Visually the room will double in size as your eye is tricked into seeing the furniture repeated as a reflection. I know it sounds a little "out there" but I have done this on many occasions and it works amazingly well. Hope that helps, Martin - www.angel-martin.com

It looks like natural wood as I can see it silvering. Accoya is available in a number of stains and does not silver (as it is not a 100% natural product). I also dislike silvering wood and prefer the look of it maintained in a stain. I like the look of burned Larch. It has texture and a deep colour. Eucalyptus is a hardwood and keeps its colour well, but is pricy.
