Was it custom? or sold as is, and from where?

Yes, it is a custom-made, solid mahogany entryway! All of our doors and entryways are made-to-order with a 6-8 week lead time. Everything is made in Western NY. This is one of our designs, although, many of our clients send us their own designs. If you are interested in this design we can create it to your specifications.

Something like this but not sure of room dimensions (clearly not as many beds as pictured (!) and i think keeping the ”bed” in the wall colour helps the room feel bigger as in the 2nd pic)

As other people have said you either choose an mass made product but accept the glass design will be different from the windows or you spend significantly more (getting on for three times as much) to have something made bespoke. Personally I think you can have different glass- the trick is to find either something that looks the same period as the original glass….. or concede that a three panel door likely looks more contemporary than the house and so the glazing can be too.

Might it be easier to have the door widened to open up access better? The coving would stay where it is that way. It looks like a chimney breast perhaps, so need to be careful to maintain structural integrity of the building.
