Hiya, We always recommend making a feature of a bay window, especially in a living space. Choose 3 separate blinds that follow the windows - Roman blinds are a popular choice as they create a luxurious feel, though if you're overlooked you might like something with slats, like shutters as you suggest. I love how you've kept the character alive in a tasteful eclectic mix. I think you may like a splash of colour in the bathroom by adding a canvas roman blind in a bold teal with a coordinating runner rug and some luxurious towels. A wall mounted rack for folded towels above the loo, will interrupt the monotone of the wall as may a plant or some. Also some woven floor baskets or quirky toiletpaper or magazine container to add interest.

I am a confirmed cynic where published trends are concerned. No matter what Pantone or anyone else says in their forecasts for the coming year, it depends on what manufacturers produce, the shops stock and ultimately what the consumer is willing to buy. Mostly, announcing what a trend will be is a marketing excercise and hopefully for those selling everyone will follow then until the next trend when they will spend more money on whatever is next. Be true to yourself and make your own trends.
