where is the drain?

Is that an infinity drain? Is the floor sloped? just wondering how the water drains and how to get to the drain to clean it and prevent clogging.

Hi Annette,

Thank-you for your question! We have two Schluter System specialists on our team that installed this "Kerdi-Line" drain. It is a 55" channel body line drain with a tile removable cover plate to allow for proper cleaning. The floor is sloping 2 degrees to the wall to ensure that there is proper water drainage.

Hello, the breakfast bar is roughly 195cm long, 33cm deep and just over 91cm high, same height as kitchen counters. I went with 2 little cupboards underneath rather than space for 3 stalls, although you can squash 3 people in!

Why don't you swing the shower area around so in fact it mirrors where the bath is, this way you can get more of a walk-in feel to the shower if you used a discreet shower tray or tile-in shower tray (the shower panel will be fitted from the wall with the darker orange highlight). The WC can then be situated next to the basin or opposite the basin next to the bath. As a side note it would be nice if you could walk in and see the basin with a large mirror above it rather than walking into a WC! The idea in a small space is to make it feel larger by actually adding larger scaled items, such as the open walk-in shower as you will not be breaking the floor space up too much. Make sure you use similar colours and tones throughout your materials on the floor and walls to keep the flow throughout the room - and good lighting is always key in a small space!

My small front garden 3m x 1.5m deep is currently unevenly concreted over so we get deep puddles of rainwater settling against the house and wall borders. I would like suggestions on how I can improve drainage as the current scenario is awful and causing damp. I've been told that my garden is too small to have a soak away, and that rainwater from my property cannot be drained away from the house onto the public highway. Is this correct? I would like to add a new porch with a rainwater downpipe but now don't know where this would drain to. Some suggested digging up the concrete and replacing it with soil, but I am nervous about this. Is is a sensible solution? To further complicated matters the house is a Victorian terrace that has sunk/settled below ground level over the years so not sure what to replace concrete with if it is dug up. The land of th epub next door also slopes towards our us so we want to stop that water settling in our garden too. Solutions would be gratefully received as we just don't know what steps to take. Thanks.
