Comments (16)A belated THANK YOU to everyone who commented. This is the final result. We're super happy with it. Room A north facing "through-lounge" in a new build, 3 bed semi detached house Paint Walls: Purbeck Stone, Farrow & Ball Ceiling: Strong White, Farrow & Ball By the way, the room isn't as long and skinny as it looks in the photos. Painting it all one colour actually made it feel much, much larger. We were really impressed with the quality of advice the F&B staff gave us in regards to colour. We loved Purbeck Stone from the minute we saw it, and being brave really paid off....See MoreI need help choosing a wallpaper for my 60's kitchen
Comments (10)Hello Caro, That is a spectacular kitchen and the second I have seen on Houzz that's similar.. The other was yellow but the owners ripped it out! I am very glad you're keeping yours.. The fridge is wonderful too... What would really make this stand out is if you could find a home for the pans... So the kitchen remains sleek... Could I suggest a warmer lighter granite for the worktop or perhaps a worktop that would compliment the look like Formica! ... I think black would be too harsh here.. Something with blue in would be good too so it compliments the tiles... OR keep what you have as it looks blue.... You could have blue as a theme for the flooring too... Are you changing the flooring?.. If so Sinclair Till is an excellent choice for linoleum.. http://www.sinclairtill.co.uk/range/3/3360 http://www.sinclairtill.co.uk/range/3/3828 For walls Cole and Son do some fantastic papers Geometric Grand restyled... They are a larger and bolder version of their former smaller collection in this range... For Bold... For Subtle.. For pendant lighting... For dining... something like this table and chairs would be ideal.. Also the fridge is lovely too.... For cocktails... An ice bucket and a few glasses! I think this is one such occasion where I can say.. "Don't just go to first base... Go all the way!" : ))...See MoreHelp choosing wallpaper
Comments (10)I agree with Shades Interiors, the wider stripe is much more contemporary and looks intentional whereas the small stripes look like the've just been hung the wrong way round if that makes sense?...See Morekitchen paint and wallpaper
Comments (12)If I’m honest I think the tiles are the think that date your kitchen the most ... I’m not sure what they would look like painted (I’ve never done it)? To try and tie then in with a more modern scheme you like, as I agree any cupboard colour would need to match them otherwise. Definitely possible to paint the cupboards with the right sealant - but it will be time consuming as said above. If they’re not great quality maybe just paint the walls and save up for a new kitchen in a few years...?...See MoreCARO DAIS
