How do you keep the toe kick drawer from sliding in?

Have you had a problem at all with this model of toe kick stool sliding in on the kiddos because they just aren't heavy enough to keep the drawer from sliding back in?

This is more than a pull out-it's a pull out then it unfolds into a multi step step stool to carry around the kitchen. It folds up and hides discreetly under the cabinet.

A7 for rd66. Furniture is so bulky and I understand the sentimental value. Unless you want your home to be a museum it might be a case of choosing a few favourite pieces and then letting the rest go. It's hard because there is always a bit of your heritage in each piece but remember every antique piece of furniture carries a story - a bit of history. We all treasure that. You might be able to find a lovely home for some of your grandfather's pieces. For the pieces you don't like or have no value.... you know what I'm going to say.... Some people take photographs of the treasured items, or why not a video? It is a way of keeping the memory and then being able to let go of the piece, whether it's china, glass, furniture or ornaments.

Lights which automatically turn on when I enter a room (especially in the kitchen and in the hallway from the bedroom to the bathroom) and lights inside my wardrobes (especially inside the one in the bedroom: I often get up earlier than my hubby, and it may be still dark outside, and I don't want to wake him up while I'm looking for my stockings).

Gone through my album of our very own decorating therapy journey and found these. I hope you can see the roller black-out in the first photo, it's tucked inside the recess of the window. The Duette is a peachy colour which looks a lot lighter colour in the north-facing sun. The one in the five panel window is the room below, it does not have the roller blind but the curtains are black out. They are not as efficient in blocking out light as the roller in recess though. the curtains are from Hamilton McBride, only reason i got them were because not many wide (350cm) curtains are cheaply available on Amazon... If your room is not too cold, you can also consider wooden venetian, mine is in white colour as you can see from the 'blue room' (it's F&B's new Vardo btw), which is on the ground floor of the north facing side. 247 does oak colour too. Many neighbours asked us where we got those from!! They look great at a good price - those two windows cost me just under a £100 - but they are not the most energy efficient. They are okay blocking out light but if you have it in the south-facing room, it might not be quite enough. Do go to 247blinds and request some free samples, it's worth a try. Hope this helps! ;)

Thank you for everyone's comments, had no idea this thread would prove so popular when I started it. We are plastering this week and we have finally bought most things for the kitchen. I did find some real 'finds' though if anyone is looking. Not sure where you are based, but regarding electrical goods we researched all our own and narrowed down our list, and once we had that we looked online for the best prices for each appliance. Instead of buying from lots of different places we took it to Bentalls, who not only matched, but also cost us less, and beat some online prices with a good 'deal' price they also then will hold on to them until you need them, but if anything goes wrong you have 'bentalls' rather than several online dealers to return items to. RDO Appliances also do this if there is one near you, but i'd advise you to research prices first. Another thing we found was inserts for the kitchens. Through our kitchen supplier these were expensive, bin inserts, pull out drawers, pull out larders, even the pop up sockets, sourced seperately through ebay and online we managed to save quite a lot of money by doing this, so our fitter will still have the right things on the day, but we are not getting the inserts from the supplier. What else..... erm kitchen worktop, unbelievably the exact same worktop, same material, same cut outs etc.. same sizes differed between suppliers by 3k! so do shop around for your quartz and granite.
