Boring white bedroom
Comments (4)Hi. Given your preferred style I might look at a venetian plaster effect wallpaper or similar as it won't close the room in. This one is from designers guild and has metallic elements. If you have the room (hard to tell from pic) you could add an old wooden bench at the end of the bed just to add interest with the rug. If you change the light then maybe a chandelier of sorts. A large vase of flowers or stems one side of the bed as per last pic. I'd add the interest with cushions and throws on the bed in different patterns and textures in your preferred colours. Perhaps a juju hat on the ŵall (although they're not cheap!) or a collection of hats and art. If there's room a large mirror opposite the window will add more light and increase the feeling of space....See MoreBoring grey bedroom blah
Comments (16)Hi Tani, I think the added colour has really lifted the room already! Possibly look at going for a deeper colour of grey on one wall but don't darken it too much otherwise the room will lose it's light! Maybe a throw the same colour/lighter shade of the pink will work... what do you think? Play around with the new pink colour you have added, go shades up and down to make the room have that added character you are looking to achieve....See MoreHelp needed: Boring Bedroom
Comments (17)Hi The room is very angular a rectangle room with clean cut lines and clean plain flat tones. I look at this room and keep thinking beach . It looks a very calm room so gives me the impression of somewhere to retreat to after a day at the beach. Obviously that would not be the case but how exciting to bring the beach to this room. A nice relaxing view of the beach a total paradise room. If a big mural is too much then you could use the idea almost like a watercolour wash that flows past the windows ( not painting the windows) or use the colour theme blues and yellows with a stylistic curve line or simply find a piece of artwork in these colours and place between the windows. I would also consider adding a couple of accessories in these colours maybe cushions and even a swag voile which goes over both the 2 windows with the capacity to dip in between the 2. You could even have a radiator cover or shelf where you could place a nice vase and inject some colour with a large statement bouquet of flowers. If you want to keep the room more subtle ( without a splash of colour then i would echo the colour and texture of the bed throw you could find a nice wallpaper like a damask styling or something with a metallic tone and cut out something or collage several pieces frame it to make your own unique wall art. These are some ways I can see the room developing I hope I've given some inspiration to you I hope you find the right solution for yourself good luck and look forward to seeing pictures of the finished room. Enjoy Regards Marie....See MoreWhite bedroom - but not all white!
Comments (8)Painting the walls a slight off white will help you to achieve a clean canvas without having plain white walls. After you have samples of the flooring try to match up your paint for the walls by going a few shades lighter. You can then add in colour by adding artwork on the walls and perhaps a rug on the floor to add warmth....See MoreChris Jones
