Well, I take back my rating then! I think the first one is very odd. If all you do is use half the shower as an entry and actually have to stand in the little area to the left when you're showering, then why build such a big shower? there's plenty of room to do a real door and it would make all the difference--the whole shower would be usable.

I have installed an ensuite the same size as suggested by SharpDesign. It's a good size. We used high end tiles, shower, shower cubicle etc and it looks stunning and is large enough to be luxurious. We also had a radiator and extractor fan. We used a bi-fold door which is fine and kept down the cost a little. Your daughter's room is most definitely large enough to have the size you are suggesting.

We did exactly as you are proposing and when we took away the shower glass/frame, discovered that the holes left were actually very neat and small. We changed our shower base to a large oblong as the room size could take it and changed the screen to one large frameless screen. We simply filled the small holes in the tiles with a color matched grout, and they were virtually invisible, possibly helped by the fact that I think the eye was drawn to the larger glass screen and the greater simplicity of the lines.
