HELP to pick colour for the Guest bedroom
Comments (7)I'd try to improve the lighting perhaps before you decide on a wall colour. Choose overhead shades and table lamps and ask the supplier if they can recommend what wattage bulbs to use in them. Then ask to try these out at home and see whether there's an improvement. When you get the lighting right for you, the choice of wall colour can start as you will then be able to see tester patches in the lighting you have decided on. P.S. We opted for a "cream box" approach in our bedroom with 3 walls in one shade and the feature wall in a deeper cream with a hessian style textured wallpaper. We have "warmed" the space with wine coloured heavy textured curtains and wine coloured sheets. It's always cheaper to change the bedding/accessories than it is to re-paint or re-paper!...See MoreNeed gender neutral colour scheme for spare bedroom
Comments (11)It sounds to me that the room needs some pattern and the wallpaper idea will sort that. If you are trying to avoid florals there are lots of geometric or retro patterns you could consider. You then likely need an additional accent colour and the earlier comment is right that pink goes very well with navy- but so do most other colours- in my opinion the navy is such a strong choice the accent should perhaps be a softer pastel colour but teal, white, coral, and brassy golds also contrast....See MoreHelp with bedroom layout and colour scheme
Comments (5)Your bed seems perfect for a nice soft romantic look, I would go for a floral paper behind bed (Raipur floral from wall paperdirect) is romantic but bang on trend colour wise, if you could, put fitted wardrobes along the wall behind the door, move your dresser to the alcove where your wardrobe is now, maybe invest in some drawers for under the bed also, storage seems a bit of a problem, and I would go with maybe stiffkey blue paint for the rest of the walls. This will give a nice cosy atmosphere to your room. A place to go and unwind. You could you white and silver accessories for that fresh feeling too. Nothing like crisp white bed linen. Enjoy, I hope it all works out for you, Aspiring Minds Design...See MoreHelp with colour scheme in small boat bedroom
Comments (4)I would paint the ceiling and walls the same, then go with the blue grey below. it could be the palest pink, off white, pale blue. I don’t think any more colours would be a good idea, but as suggested you can add more with bedding, cushions and art. Here’s a couple of pics I found of boat decor. Not all bedrooms, but I’m looking more at the colour combinations. Especially love the first one....See Morejaninethebean
