Comments (6)You will have to bite your tongues when you see my light fitting then, ha ha ha ;0) @forzaitalia & Patrina - I’ve seen those bulbs in b&q as well and some are lovely. I imagine you can get lower wattage ones just like standard bulbs as well for that style which would be less blinding. I don’t have a problem with them though and find them quite atmospheric. Comments (4)It really depends on how high your ceilings are and the type of look you are going for. Will they make a statement or are they purely functional? I'd usually go for pendants with fixed shades because I'm usually committing to a style and I've chosen something I truly love. However, you can get some beautiful glass shades from places like made.com . Comments (5)Of course, one would always agree with Minnie. Only other option for a ceiling fixed pendant would be to get an electrician in to feed a cable to the corner. It may be possible to do this easily from above and not mean damaging your ceiling, depending on your flooring. Alternatively you could get a large, arced lamp to hold a large shade, but that’s not really the same look....See Morenashy18
