Hi Cat, If you were to have a freestanding bath there would normally be a small gap for it to drop behind. If it's a bath that is being tiled in up to the wall there would be no option but to dangle it into the bath. We'd probably recommend just having the tap without the handheld in this instance. Hi Claudia, I think a simplistic sofa would look great. The wall will be a lovely focal point so you don't want a fussy looking sofa. You can add texture and pattern by using throws and cushions. I agree with Rui - a natural look of rustic oaks and wickers would look great. Add a pop of colour with a lovely plant too! I love natural stone walls so I would leave it as it is. Natural stone walls are always finishing with larger top stones. Yorkshire is full of them! As already said, imagine how filthy the wall would get if it was rendered. I think the abundance of planting definitely needs thinning out. It must make the house very dark. I’m not saying chop it all down, just thin out the number of shrubs/trees. Here are a couple of examples of stone walls in thr country with larger top stones.

We have an 18th century cottage. One side of th rhluse is onto someone else’s garden. Their soil line is about 2 foot up our living room wall. Needless to say, we’re getting a lot of damp in our living room and it’s fetching the paint off our walls. We want to put a boarding or something up between our wall and the neighbour’s garden. Can anyone recommend a good boarding thats for outdoors please? Thank you in advance!
