need help with my master bedroom
Comments (0)On my master bedroom I have a uneven wall (as if a fireplace were suppose to be there but it is not, there is not even the alcove for to, just the wall sticking out), and this is right were my king sleigh bed is. I want to level of the wall, but its a rental place, i would like to spend the least money on a plaster work or to spend more money on panels, to make it look nice but something i can take with me later. I would love some ideas...See MoreMaster bath and closet - need help!
Comments (1)Can you sketch a simple floor plan showing bedroom, closet and bathroom, with measurements?...See More5 bed or 4 bed - and what master/en-suite layout?
Comments (12)Do you plan to have a double bed in each room including your master? Having a 4 bedroom house, can give you the space to have a super king in your master bedroom which would balance the space out. Going with the 4 bedroom idea and having a larger master en-suite - it feels like there is a lot of empty unusable corridor space. I think this could be tweaked to make it a fabulous space... Just a brief look at your space, you have 3 wardrobes - could you make the middle one a door into the en-suite, allowing you to have a larger rectangle walk in shower opposite the bath. You could have also have drawers / dressing table on the wall as you come into the bedroom. Think about where the door to the master bedroom would be as it would ideally be balanced around the windows in the corridor. Presuming the windows are fixed. Could bedroom 2 have the door where the 5 bedroom layout is allowing more space for your bedroom door? The A/C cupboard - do you need it? Could you make it wider and smaller depth or a wardrobe for yourselves? It's a little difficult without measurements to work it all out... This is an example of the idea I suggested above. (We are towards the end of renovating our place and we changed it from 5 bed to a 4 but added an en-suite into each room. We don't miss the useless little box room!)...See MoreHELP NEEDED: Master Suite with ensuite + dressing room
Comments (6)Hi Nathan, so if I understand correctly you want to use you bedroom 3 as a dressing room that can be accessible from you master bedroom but ‘technically’ keep that as a bedroom for valuation purposes. In this case I would think keeping the planned door as is for bed 3 and installing a sliding or pocket door to access it from master- you may need to check the fire rating of this sliding door or install smoke alarm in bed 3. I would not bother with the proposed wardrobe in this case. Also if you prefer a bath, swap your shower with a bath/ adding both will reduce flexibility of space usage in future- the below layout will allow you to adapt the space but if having separate bath and shower is important then you may want to use the wardrobe space in master bed for shower considering you will have a full dressing room. Anyone buying in future can reconfigure if needed. But love the idea of a nice spacious dressing room! Go for it!...See MoreProject Specialist Lowe's of Harriman, TN
