what colour are the kitchen cabinets ? please

Are the kitchen cabinets painted a different colour from the island , and if it is can you tell me the paint colour please... thanks Winifred..

Hi, yes the cabinets are painted in Tom Howley's bespoke paint colour 'Meadowsweet'.

God I love your cabinets and worktop - don't change a thing! You could add pops of colours - almost anything will look good as a nice neutral pallet. Do you like maybe a soft lavender which always goes nice with the soft grey-green of cupboards? F&B Elephants Breath has a hint of it. I'm glad to see everyone saying leave cupboards as they are. If you've got the time and the inclination (and budgets are tight) I reckon it's worth giving the paint a go to see how it looks. Lots of the kitchens we're doing for clients now are ones with painted finishes and although (as mentioned above) this isn't the most classic style/a bit old fashioned it will look completely different painted. New handles... save up for the kitchen you really want!

Hi Evie. I would actually keep the wall colour as close to the units as possible or even the same to make the space feel bigger. I'd look at strong white for the walls or perhaps purbeck for the units and ammonite on the walls. I'd get some testers anyway as the colours obviously look different in different lights. I also think the colours tend to come out lighter on the doors so ideally would test a sample. For the floor, you could run planks horizontally but if you don't like that look then opt for wide planks as per the 2nd pic. Encaustic tiles also look good in a narrow space. The last pic is a concrete tile from rockett st George but you could consider adding colour for tiles rather than accessories as there are lots of similar tiles around ATM

I would try some different neutrals such as Little Greene 'Slaked Lime Dark' or Farrow and Ball 'Light Grey17'. It a lovely bright space and the floor is very warm and quite strong so I would go for a warm stoney neutral that complements the floor and the range. If the paint is more obviously blue of green it will make the floor look even stronger. Little Greene does oil based so I would use that over water based.
