what is your best timeless colour for kitchen cabinets
Comments (26)Pumice and Duck Egg Blues are timeless. Personally I love some of the darker grey-blue tones which are so popular at the moment and, I'm sure, will stand the test of time. Remember colour is a curious and complex thing. A swatch will never really do it justice, and one colour will look very different depending on how matte/glossy it is. The same paint will also look very different depending on the surface it is painted on! And the choice of colours/textures used in worktops and accessories can also change the whole feel of a colour scheme without changing unit colours. Comments (7)Hi Neil, You've got a really lovely contemporary space, and as it's fairly neutral you really could pick any colour you want. It looks like you're already a fan of bright colours judging by the fun frames, so as Jade says, why not pick up on one of those? One thing to remember about Pleated blinds is that as the light shines through they'll get slightly lighter and create a 'glowy' effect. So you really can afford to go bold and bright!...See MoreBlinds and Wall Colour for my kitchen ?
Comments (2)How about painting your kitchen duck egg blue, it contrasts well with cream and is not too warm for the heat of a kitchen. It can be used with a variety of different styles/types of accessories and soft furnishings, including ditsy prints, ice cream colours and geometrics. Ideally i would advise buying a blind you love ( a design rather than plain or textured) and using one of the colours in the blind to paint the walls with. If the room is small ensure the pattern in the blind as also small. A large an/or bold pattern will overwhelm the room. The blind needs to be a kitchen blind that resists moisture and grease or it will grow black mould. Also remember to use paint designed for kitchens as it resists grease and steam....See MoreFabric suggestions for for kitchen roman blinds
Comments (5)Hi, thank you for your comment. The floor has a slight green tone to it which I think can be seen in the 4th picture. The cupboard colours are little greene french grey and juniper ash. The current wall colour F&B shaded white. It opens up in to the table/dining area so the only walls are the window wall or cooker wall. Thanks for your help....See MoreElena Romanova Interiors
