Blinds and Wall Colour for my kitchen ?
Comments (2)How about painting your kitchen duck egg blue, it contrasts well with cream and is not too warm for the heat of a kitchen. It can be used with a variety of different styles/types of accessories and soft furnishings, including ditsy prints, ice cream colours and geometrics. Ideally i would advise buying a blind you love ( a design rather than plain or textured) and using one of the colours in the blind to paint the walls with. If the room is small ensure the pattern in the blind as also small. A large an/or bold pattern will overwhelm the room. The blind needs to be a kitchen blind that resists moisture and grease or it will grow black mould. Also remember to use paint designed for kitchens as it resists grease and steam....See Morekitchen paint colour & Colour of curtains and blinds
Comments (4)I personally would not choose black curtains. I prefer curtains that are a similar colour as the walls, so if you paint the walls grey, then have simple linen-cotton curtains In grey. I cannot see the sink window, so can you share a pic of that wall? I’m thinking, without seeing the window, white painted wooden Venetian blinds. My eye is drawn to your lovely antique style wall clock, so how about a similar shade on your walls, a shade of parchment? If that’s too country style, then maybe off white walls?...See MoreWhat colour wall paint for kitchen with cream cabinets
Comments (5)Hi Joanne, Questions to ask yourself are Would you like the room to be : - brighter or darker - cosy or fresh - feel larger or smaller - feel warmer or cooler - feel cheery, neutral or moody Also which way is the room orientated north? What are the other colours that are in the rest of the house? If these colours are all cohesive the spaces will link well and the house will feel larger. Interior Designers can offer a colour consultation - this is brief example of some of the factors that should be considered but the full service is best in person as the designer can get the feel for the space and samples can be viewed in the correct light which makes all the difference. We are based in the Wirral and Cheshire, local designers can be found on Houzz. Many thanks, Ellen Interior Designer...See MoreWhat colour cabinets with these tiles in Kitchen? Im at a loss!
Comments (4)I'd go for a warm neutral to pick up the beige tones in the tiles. Do you plan to update the handles on the cabinets too? Will be lovely when done!...See More- 8 years ago
