What colour appliances in a grey kitchen?

Starting to think about appliances now, specifically the range cooker and American f/f.

Cabinet colours still to be finalised, but I have narrowed them down (I hope!). I am waiting on door samples before deciding.

The base units and double larders either side of the fridge will be Purbeck stone or Worsted.

The island will be Stiffkey blue or Railings.

White quartz worktop.

If we go Stiffkey blue on the island, we will put in alumetallic silgranit sinks, if we go with Railings I think we will go with anthracite sinks.

I think the fridge will be brushed steel regardless, but I was thinking if we done Railings on the island, we could go with a black range, and it would also tie in with our black windows and patio doors. Or would it be better to try to keep everything at base unit level the same tone, ie stainless steel?

I am not a fan of American Style Fridges so of course my opinion is tainted......
How about having European style fridge and freezers integrated? This will give you more fridge space, avoid the usual unattractive gap needed between cabinets and the fridge to allow the doors to open and give a more expensive finish to your kitchen.
As far as the range goes- I have a pale one in a kitchen with anthracite base units and I think that looks better compared to a friend who has a black range in a wood kitchen. In my opinion the light colour future proofs the choice and should I or a future occupant of the house want to paint the cabinets they have more options.

Our kitchen units are going to be a combination of oak and grey paint (Worsted is my choice too but we started off by looking at darker shades). We've opted for a granite called River White so we have chosen Silgranite sinks in Pearl Gray which was a slightly softer colour which looked better against the Worsted paint too. All the white goods are to be fully integrated so I can't offer a suggestion on your American-style fridge but we will be having ovens, hob and extractor which combine stainless steel and black glass. Again, the Worsted paint sat well against them. Good luck with your choices.

Actually I think there are loads of options. Obviously the first thought is another grey for the walls but you could likely also do a sunny yellow, pink or green. Post a picture when you can for room specific advice.

Personally I think that with the neutral palate any colour will work- but I feel that you need to choose a contemporary design to work with your German kitchen. I would choose a simple but elegant sofa and chair, choose a pale neutral (but not grey to avoid the fifty shades thing) Then I would add colour through accessories and a patterned/ textured rug. Separately I think the worktop upstand detracts from the mirror splashback behind the hob and is unnecessary. Otherwise I think the kitchen looks great.
