Loving the idea to have a walking wardrobe but where I put the door ?

Hi, design a home is not an easy job. We are changing the studio for a walking wardrobe but where I put the door to connect both bedrooms ?

I struggle to visualize what is the best option in this case and we just want to use the most of the space with a nice design. Any suggestion ? The black plain door can be remove from the original place.

On the wall nearer the window?
Or... Can you put a new wall joining both current doors,put a door there and get rid of the old doors?

Hi, could be just a bit afraid that the way to the other room will be to dark and narrow. I will think about it. Thanks Patricia

Hello. Congratulations on buying your apartment. You should think very carefully about what you do to your studio, since it is the space where you will live, breath and sleep. Before you make any specific decisions, put together a mood board so you can focus on the complete look. . Look at the colour and texture of the things you aren't going to change, like the sofa and, I guess, the floor? Then gather images of the things you want to change, and play around with colour, taking inspiration from your moodboard. This is fun, and will give you a good idea of how your room with feel and look. Good luck. Yes, the second pic is how it is now, but it doesn't work. There's no wall for a dressing table (it's currently half in front of the window but blocks wardrobe access), and my husband would like a tv in a normal place, currently on the window wall right next to the head of the bed, so barely watchable. The wardrobes are ok, but that's the only storage we have and they need improving if nothing else. I just feel there's so many 'little' things wrong I'd like to find a wider solution. Hello Leesh, It sounds like you rather like the idea of an en-suite and so I would perhaps suggest you go with it, rather than do one thing and then re-do it later. You mention the house has one single loo.. So would this mean presumably that you would also then situate a loo downstairs? If so perhaps you might consider turning the loo into a small wet room style shower room.. A wall hung loo and small sink would give you enough room for a small shower room fully tanked of course as they are lovely. If there is a bathroom with bath for example elsewhere on the upper levels then it could be one way of dealing with this smaller space.. Alternatively you may prefer to have a walk in closet.. Mind you.. If the bedroom is large enough you may be able to incorporate a walk in closet in the room itself.. I'm elaborating on your initial dilemma, but it may help you to decide just what you need and where exactly.. : ))

Yes I did look at these as would have gone for something like that for sure if I could only find a contemporary version that wasn’t frosted glass - if anyone has seen any please do shout! emily, a carpenter friend of ours suggested Louvre doors - it maybe an option. I think I’m so hung up on the nice grey glossy sliding wardrobe doors I wanted that anything else isn’t matching up! If only I could get a grey glossy door in that barn style the previous person posted about I’d be a happy bunny! Thanks ever so much for taking the time to give your ideas

consider putting your bed in the dressing room and wardrobes and dressing area near the ensuite in the current master bedroom. Perhaps more than one opening through would be good.

Good idea ! Thanks however i live in a grand floor and dropping a complete wall is a bit difficult but I will ask if it is possible. Thanks for your suggestion Jonathan.
