Walk in wardrobe

I just wondered whether a space of 1.5m length X 1.2 m width would be too small for a walk in wardrobe? Many thanks.

The width is not too much of a problem as you can class hanging as 500mm deep this leaves 700mm walk way. Length is a little short but a section of double hanging for a metre and then high level half hanging with set of drawers, the drawers could be set off the floor by say 300mm which could be used as pull out shoes racks. Subject to height of room obviously a high level shelf could be used for bulk storage. All this could give you 2.5m of hanging with say 4 drawers 500 mm wide by 250mm high each plus the shoe racks and of course any additional shelving you can get in. The images below are to illustrate hanging with drawers below also an alternate way of hanging using slide out rails

Hi there. You would need to build the wardrobe along the shorter length of wall (1.2m) in order to leave enough room to comfortably manoeuvre in front of it...it's still tight though!

Hi; without being rude I don’t think you have the space for both. Walk in wardrobes take up a lot more space than people realise. We have a similar layout & have 10m for it to work efficiently. I think it’s better to have a full wall of wardrobes & a luxurious bathroom. At the end to the day, a walk in only hangs your clothes! You only spend a minute in there. I wouldn’t put clothes in a bathroom - there’s steam & poop smells, and it just seems odd. You could even fit a bath in that en-suite for a hotel feel!

I am with your wife on the walk in wardrobe. I prefer not to have a bedroom lined with doors. IMO its not restful to look at. Presumably you will also have drawers where the dressing table is .
