What's your favourite mode of transport?

I find it amusing that people tend to have completely different views on transport and how they prefer getting from A to B.

For me, walking part of the way to work is great. With fresh air and views over the city, I couldn't imagine swapping my morning commute for a train or car.

It would always vary depending on where I was going and why. A leisurely stroll with the dogs is one thing, doing the weekly shop is another, as would be travelling from home to the city. My ideal would be to be transported in a chauffeur driven 1930s Rolls Royce Phantom III limousine, but that's never going to happen.

Vespa et4 , everywhere.couldnt go back to a car or public transport.

I have always bought wrecks - I love renovating: and I completely agree with overpaying for a new renovation that is rubbish and soulless: I won't even view a house that has obviously been done up by one of the many "property developers" that infest London. I can cope with anything (have rectified asbestos, removed wood chip, put back period features and replaced everything from roof to digging up a floor to install underfloor heating in the past), but my absolute nos: dodgy neighbours/road, lack of off-street parking (London), a floor plan I can do nothing with, lack of potential to add value myself. I have seen (and met) some real horrors whilst looking for houses! Also, I have to have a period house: 1930s or older.

The NewYork apartment in the movie 'Down With Love' is my personal favourite. Sunken, circular longe, lofty spiralling staircase and that view! I'd change up the colour scheme, a bit too pink for my tastes. Or even it out by spending time at the equally stunning, James Bond-esque bachelor pad, with its wood tones and blue velvet goodness. In the world of art always make sure you like what you buy. If you think of art as an investment, it could be a sour experience. Love the artwork you acquire. There will be no regrets later. The following works went at different price levels, prices in random order. One was around £5k, another on the £10k and a third one for just under £20k. Have fun guessing. All of them good South American artists.

I'm with you on the Rolls Royce Stephen! And we hired a Vespa when we went to Greece a few years ago @huffyboy - it was an absolute dream to get around in. The best idea we had the whole holiday actually!
