What to do to my bedroom
Comments (15)It is a lovely room but as you have chosen black and white monochrome, you need to get a bold or big/ item in black into the upper part of the room - ie: like a beautiful bold/sculptural black monochrome reading lamp/light for example. And also think about a couple of beautiful grey decorative cushions (monochrome) for the bed. And a beautiful small white sheepskin rug for the black floor, to add the look of more comfort. I would put the mirror above the dressing table instead of above the bed. And find a large interesting black and white art-deco photograph or print to put above the bed. I think a few art-deco style things like the photo/print, a lamp and a sheep skin rug and cushions will look stunning - choose them wisely. And stick to mono-chrome colours which you have already chosen as colour-scheme. That will really bring the room together and make it look fabulous. Good luck and please show us the results afterwards. And one last thing I think a different luxurient headboard to your bed in the art-deco monochrome style is a must....See MoreBedroom flooring - wood or carpet?
Comments (6)Like minnie101 said, it is a personal preference, but either same wood flooring throughout with a rug, so you can wipe your feet or fully carpeted bedroom. Comments (41)I found the Dulux Visualator, or whatever it’s called, to be pretty useless. I used it once to visualise my old sitting room colour just to see how accurate it was. My walls were Dulux Elderflower so compared it on the Dulux online thingy and it was completely different!...See Morevinyl flooring in a bedroom??
Comments (13)Cushion vinyl and underlay is big NO, Tani. Lots of sponginess going on, making the cushion vinyl susceptible to puncturing. Cushion vinyl over the top of what you have described your subfloor to be is possible but the subfloor will need preparing. No gaps, no screw holes… all needs filling. If you don't you will quickly see the unevenness "grinning" through your vinyl. If you use underlay and if you do not prepare your subfloor correctly you will void any manufacturing warranties that come with the cushion vinyl. Click LVT is possible. If the subfloor isn't too bad you could float the click LVT straight over the top, No gluing or screwing necessary and you could enhance the walking experience by using a recommended underlay. It make the flooring softer when walking on and will dramatically reduce sound, too. Back to your other project on discussion on Houzz Tani, we asked you about where you went for your Projectline but we've not yet heard from you. It would really help us (for future works) if we knew. e: headhoncho@flooringmegastore.co.uk … if you would be kind enough! Thanks ever so much, Tani....See MoreBideford Joinery LTD
