7 years agoCongratulations. It's a very stylish kitchen, you have.
You could stick with the black and white look and use white tiles, such as small white round mosaics, for a clean look. Search for penny round tiles for ideas.
Or if you'd like to add colour, reddish tones would work well. Blue-greens and teals are very popular at the moment but I think they will date. Red is a more classic choice with black and white.
We used a dark purple-red glass splashback for this kitchen with Caesarstone Calacatta benches and dark brown and off white laminate.

Comments (8)Hi Kirsty, I agree with one plan a neutral colour with colour changing lights would be a win-win for you both. Coloured back splashes can be a very personal discussion as colour effect us all differently. A warm yellow can always give a kitchen a pop of colour and look very modern too. Comments (9)hi Zoe, if you are fixed on glass, you should probably go for a strong colour or the kitchen could be quite monotone. you could have a painted wall and have a 50mm or 100mm upstand in the same finish as the worktop around the hob you could have glass or a metal full height splashback. what is the colour of the floor in the kitchen as that could provide help in deciding the colour if glass is your preferred solution. best Rowland...See More

7 years agoIf you have the need to create more light in your kitchen or have an incredible view into your backyard from the kitchen then adding a mirror splash back is elegant and feels like you've added additional space.
We did this to see our pool and the lights from the city as we love on a hill. It cost $1400 all up and was installed straight over existing tile!
