POLL: Stone or Wood effect LVT for kitchens?

Here at Moduleo, we would love to know which of our luxury vinyl flooring tiles you prefer for kitchens? Is it the traditional wood effect flooring or the sleek stone effect tile?

The options are Persian Walnut 20843 or Jetstone 46992.

We're choosing them for our open plan kitchen/dining/living room. We need the durability of tile for the living and dining area, but stone look tiles feel wrong for a sitting area (in chilly UK). So we're hoping wood look tiles, with UFH, will give the best of both. Just a shame there is no way to avoid grout!

Hi Gerty, we think there's nothing quite like the natural look and feel of real wood. It's timelessly stylish and strong. An engineered wood floor will provide even better stability than a solid as it's constructed of three sturdy layers. And if you're ever thinking of moving home in the future, real wood will add value and be attractive to buyers. As for your worries about fading, natural light will naturally mature your floors colour over time. We recommend that you take care to move around any large pieces of furniture and rugs every so often to allow an even maturing of colour across the floor. The design strips can make it look more authentic if you choose the right tone strip. I thought you meant do the floor in a straight lay like a ships deck. I think it also depends on the actual floor chosen ,I personally don’t find that they match in terms of what looks realistic
