this is beautiful wall. I want to do something similar in my son's mew home. can you tell me did you use same color paint just in a different finish?

Yes Badbren. Both colors are black. Matte and semi-gloss. Can be done opposite. Semi-gloss base with Matte stencil. Thank you, Joe

Water logging on concrete area

Absolutely - the raised soil edge is holding the water in over the concrete. Drop the soil level where the water collects and the water should drain and soak away into the ground. If the water still hangs around then you could dig in a bit of horticultural shingle to aid the soil drainage. If there was a shed on the concrete before then it is possible the soil there will have become compacted by high footfall and this make it harder for the water to soak away into the soil.

You could have a look at this, maybe paint in a natural colour (or you may be able to use a stencil)and then add the rug as Sonia suggested? you could use it under the dining table and then fill the perimeter of the patio with plants etc. I’m not sure rugs attract creepy crawlies, probably the opposite. They just need hosing down to keep clean occasionally. Will the new fence allow for drainage? I don't think the style needs to match too much as its a boys room however scandi and industrial work well. Maybe add some industrial lighting, the lightbulb style work well with scandi too, and artwork be it graphic or typography etc obviously suitable for his age. I like the idea of steel velvet curtains and the grey walls too as the furniture is white. Use his favourite colour for cushions, bookshelves, art etc. Maybe a sheepskin rug as they’re cosy to sit on and will add texture

Crack in large mirror

A large crack developed on my fitted bedroom wall mirror from the power socket switches fitted with the mirror. I think a nearby heater caused it. I would be grateful for any ideas on how to camouflage it by painting over it for example. I have an oriental tulip stencil and some oil pastels. Would this work?
