Bought a U-Line after 8 service visits it still was broken. They sent a new one and it failed within one week.
You think this is a quality brand?

For me it’s maximalism. Lovely in a quirky cafe or boutique hotel but at home it would give me a headache. I like a restful house and so yes quite a lot of it is grey! Not battleship grey or anthracite but bluey or greeny greys. Concrete floors. Depressing, cold, ecologically not great, look unfinished. Plants very high up. How do you water them? Walk in wardrobes even if it means the bedroom becomes tiny. I’d rather have a bigger bedroom with wardrobes in it, than dress and sleep in tiny spaces. Uber industrial. There’s a reason we usually hide cables, conduits, vent ducts...because they are ugly. Buying new furniture and accessories very often to have an “up to date“ look. I see all these instagram pictures with everything brass, mid century, wood, rattan, green (today’s trends) and I wonder what has happened to all their grey, painted, silver, shabby chic items from 5/10 years ago. And what will they do with today’s items when the look swings round again...

I have always been attracted to the Carmel-by-the-Sea houses designed by Comstock...the interiors are often decorated casually, with comfy sofas, chairs, maple & cherry furniture and nature-inspired art and accessories. Big fantasy. In real life, we are retired on Cape Cod, Massachusetts and live in a 1200 sq.ft. condo one block off a large town's Main St. and two miles from any beach. Except for the building and location, we have the rest...not sure if our decor is English casual, English coastal or ???, but I wouldn't change it, except to buy better quality sofa and chairs.

@Nekul I have to be honest, the answer to my dilemma was: I stopped shopping haha I genuinely have bought very little since making this post, simply because I couldn't find what I'm after. The most likely places for me to spot the odd piece I like are Sweetpea & Willow (not exactly affordable), Swoon and Rockett St George. I occasionally buy from Maisons Du Monde or La Redoute but both don't offer value for money (or a great shopping experience - items lost in transit or arriving damaged). I did stumble across J N Rusticus, though, which - if that's your style - I can highly recommend. My all-time favourite is still the US based CB2 which do ship internationally but not all items and only if you spend a minimum of $5000....

These cheery citrus fruits are one of your home's hardest working, most flexible cleaning tools. Just look at what they can do: • Freshen your microwave Make the interior easier to wipe down by heating a cup of water and a chopped-up lemon on high until the microwave's window is steamy. Let the bowl sit for 15 minutes before you open the door, and clean away any grime and grease with ease. • De-stink the garbage disposal Run a few lemon rinds through the disposal and follow with cold water to dispel any sour odors. • Remove stains from linens This tip is safe for even delicate or vintage fabrics: Treat a set-in stain with lemon juice and salt. Let the mixture sit for a half hour, then rinse with vinegar and warm water. • Get stains out of a cutting board or butcher block Run the cut side of a lemon over the board to remove food stains and smells. For extra cleaning power, sprinkle it with salt or baking soda first. If your stains are particularly stubborn, let everything sit overnight before you rinse with water. Wipe wooden boards with mineral oil to seal. • Get rid of tarnish on brass Sprinkle tarnished spots with salt, and then lightly rub with a sponge dampened with lemon juice. Rinse with water and dry well. • Remove a rust stain from fabric Try the trusty lemon juice-and-salt combo to fight these tricky stains. But keep the juice away from the plants you want to keep — the acidity could damage or kill flowers and bushes, too. • Create a makeshift scented humidifier Simmer a saucepan of water and some lemon slices (and other aromatics, if you like) to combat dry indoor air, and make your home smell nice in one punch. • Clean a cheese grater Can't free the last bits of cheddar from your grater's holes? Already Did. I was denied a refund by your company after being tortured 8 times with a service person in my house and the new one sent failed within a week. I wrote and called. The dealer was willing to work with us but your corporation did not. All they offered was another service visit. I pleaded nicely to let us go on our way with another brand. You chose to hold me captive and keep my money. Evidently nice didn't work.

I am a contributor on HOUZZ and will share my experience continually here and other forums until I get satisfaction. I also have a web domain ready to launch with your name in it. I am only days from getting all the paper work together and with the help of my attorneys I am filing for a hearing. Once I get a judgement that will be posted also. You really bullied the wrong guy.
