Comments (23)wow, thank you so much for all your great ideas!!! Unfortunately I cannot move the table centrally as it would block the way between the kitchen and the stairs/ doorways... I like the ideas of moving the pendant lights right above the table, installing a large mirror on the empty wall..I could actually move the sideboard there and add nice baskets for shoes next to the door . Also add a big painting above the table. Gonna give a few try to see what works! and agree the blind doesnt look good, it was just previously there. I just did not have it in my software. Try to move two sofas on different direction. may be both on the corner would be better. Comments (16)yes I like the jungle idea possibly, though not sure if should keep with ivy as it matches whats currently there.. , not sure about the shelves or seating by the TV though. In the room next door there is an an 8 seater table, and a kitchen island, so its not as though this is the only place to have seating I guess. I like the ideas of natural look, almost Japanese, bamboo, bringing the garden in, just having difficulty with which wall colours, what to do with the post? keep white or make a colourful feature of it, and also what colour sofa bed, rug, paint on the walls to make everything blend in. It's so difficult, can't go for a lightish sofa, as it would just get too dirty, but I'm open to all ideas and very very much appreciate both yours and Rukmini's I have no idea how to put a room pic together like that so it helps massively. They have a lot of friends round, so a comfy rug /beanbags are also great, as long as we can also put them somewhere away too, so they're not in the way...See More

7 years agoRemove the curtains, add a festive garland.
Use command hooks or something similar to add a set of 3 or 5 wreaths to the mirrored wall. Choose "base" wreaths that are plain and them embellish simply. This will make it easy to make the transition to Christmas.
Create a table scape.

7 years agoI think the fundamentals of the room are fine here. I just think you should nicely decorate the table with a beautiful tablecloth and candles. Check out www.lenpol.com they have really nice and superior quality tablecloths from pure linen. I suggest brown or deep yellow, gold
hues for this room.

7 years agolast modified: 7 years agoBeautiful shutters! Yes...remove the valences. You can get some type of long, narrow box/container to place down the center of the tables. Fill them with pumpkins, gourds, candles and/or other Fall decor. You could also substitute mini pumpkins for some of the balls in the glass hurricanes/vases in your tile window sill. Add a bowl or basket with the vases and fill it with green apples.
@jillian, I just ordered those 3 boxwood wreaths with red ribbon from Birch Lane.

7 years agoI always do a collection of various glass pumpkins and candles. Pier One always has a great collection. And don't forget to make Turkey Cookies !
