What is your largest size recliner for 9 year old?

These are the dimensions of the recliner

Which should give you an idea of the size. I have other recliners but it really depends on the child because some nine year olds are pretty tall and actually could use an adult recliner.

We have the same type of panelling in our hall and it was oak the same as yours with an oak floor. It just started to feel quite dark and drab but we hesitated to to do anything for fear of messing it up. In the end we painted all the panelling in Farrows French grey, left the doors and floors wood and painted the sides of our staircase and the spindles in Farrows clunch but left the newel posts and the bannister rail as wood - looks like a different hallway - I have never regretted painting it

Mum always says.... - Only take out a mortgage that you can afford to pay on one wage (in case of redundancy/pregnancy etc). - You soon lose weight when you’re ill so eat how you want to until that day! Hi. My son has his own desktop and printer now, from the beginning of Year 7. He is 12 and a half. We bought these because we had decided that he should now have his own study area, which is in his playroom/media room, but we now call it his study. He used to do his homework on the computer near the kitchen downstairs. He is using our old home office desk. His Tv and Xbox are also in the study and it is also where he socialises with friends for a sleepover. It has a sofa bed in it. We have emphasised how lucky he is to have this and that computer is for school work mainly. We have rules to the effect that once he starts homework on a weekday evening he cannot fool around on the internet. Until it is all finished. This works well for us. I should say, only for reassurance purposes, not boasting, that he is a top student at a very selective private school, never hands homework in late and was described by his form teacher at parents evening as "an academic high flyer". He also is on grade 6 piano, 3 trombone and loves playing football more than being on the internet or Xbox. So, it can work. It depends on you and I guess the child. I would add that obviously we are a wealthy household, so not everyone can afford to do what we've done. Also, I would say that he has a problem of entitlement, a little. He is a very nice child but doesn't really get how lucky he is. We are not sure how to counteract this but recently I read that children do benefit from having chores. So, I am going explain how to clean his toilet (he has dyspraxia) and then he is going to do it every Sunday night and it will be inspected. If he fails inspection, he does it again until its right! Only then will he be paid pocket money for the week (which we are now bringing in because he is starting to go out with friends on his own at the weekend). I recently did some financial housekeeping and cancelled lots of subcriptions like Spotify premium, EA games, karaoke apps and the like and explained how much they all cost per year. He sort of gets that money doesn't grow on trees now. But not quite..yet. Hope this helps. Not sure it was quite on point.

My company specialises in renewing and upgrading existing stairs as well as designing and making new ones. Here's a project that we completed at the end of 2016, the first pictures are how the stairs looked when we first visited and the last ones with the glass are how we changed it. Here's the review from our client who was very pleased http://bit.ly/2oYjRFi . All our work is designed and made in house so you don't have to bother with taking templates to a local glazier. As you have seen from the number of replies the range of options are unlimited. Most things can be achieved with the right client and good budget but to avoid spending too much on something you don't need it is important to gain an understanding of how you want the whole house to look; I always request that my clients show me images of things they like, furniture, interiors so that a design can be developed that not only complements the design/ concept of a home but enhances. Depending on your budget, you could make a saving by just renewing the stairs in a design that incorporates a glazed banister and fixes the issues that you are concerned about. Site installation work is far more expensive than just making something from scratch in our workshop. I don't believe you have any problems offering B&B with the stairs as they are as far as Building Regs go. What you should probably take account of though is providing a staircase for the guests that they are comfortable with and feel safe using, if you are certain that all the guests will be fully mobile adults then in the strict reading of the regs your stairs will comply anyway. Building Regs approved document K requires gaps in staircase risers and banisters to be 100 mm or less to provide adequate safety for children. Following this, but also keeping open risers means adding a small downstand underneath the tread to reduce the open riser height. It will also pose problems adding glass to the side of your existing flight because you will have difficulty because there are not convenient points to fix the glass, nor have the carriages - the beams supporting the treads underneath - been designed to carry the additional load from the glass or stair users pressing on it, so additional structure must be added to the carriage to carry the glass, everything is possible but most people have a budget so I must ask you - What is yours?
