Curtain pole size?

I have recently decorated my sitting room and have had curtains made. I need to get a dark wood curtain pole for my wide window and need some help with diameter size options. Should I go with a 35mm di pole or 45mm di pole?

I think you'd need the bigger diameter to support the weight of the curtains.

I would definitely go for a bigger diameter for strength with appropriate brackets. Perhaps even a 51mm pole would be better.

A blind would be a better option. Either Roman blinds, roller blinds or slatted wooden blinds, depending on your taste in decor.

Hello! Do you know the weight of your curtains? Usually 19-20mm diameter poles are for light to medium weight curtains of up to 5kg.
