What comes to mind when you hear ‘art deco’?

‘Art deco’ is a word I hear thrown around a lot. Some are unsure of what it means, for some it elicits an immediate negative reaction, while some are art deco enthusiasts.

Personally, when I hear art deco I think of The Great Gatsby (2013). It may have been at its peak in the early 20th century, but it definitely has modern incarnations - angular shapes, symmetry, mixing materials, geometric and floral patterns.
