Struggling with part of kitchen layout - which would you choose?
Comments (9)@Leesha- the illustrations shows side by side ovens that do not match. Some manufacturers now make appliances designed to sit side by side where the control panels are the same size and the handles are at the same height so even if you put a single oven with a steam oven side by side with a coffee maker, microwave and warming drawer the horizontal lines will line up. Look up Seimens ovens to see some images...See MoreWhich kitchen design to choose?
Comments (14)Hi. I do like the look of the first one. The peninsula is definitely too far away though, it looks a little odd and also unsafe for draining etc. It may also be a bit long? I wonder if you'd considered a range? I've found a pic showing what that main run could look like. I also agree that the sink would be better off centre. There's no room for small appliances so I think the dresser would need to turn into an appliance/breakfast cabinet (unless that what it is already?!) I've managed to find a pic of one next to a fridge rather than adjoining a worksurface. My brother has one in a corner adjoining a worksuface where their kettle is but I've made toast, proper coffee just using the worktop in front of the appliance/breakfast cabinet and I didn't find it an issue personally. I would lose the glass doors and go for bifold...See More*Dream kitchen dilemmas* Which cabinetry colour would you choose?

I think you need the extra space at the back, not maybe for the prep, which you could do in the 1m between hob and sink, but for the kettle, toaster, coffee maker maybe, preparing drinks etc. The space is very tight and I think the storage is quite limited. I put the Fridge Freezer in the big grey cabinet, so you could see the difference between it and the rest of the units as it juts out. This i think can be improved upon too:- I would integrate the Fridge Freezer as the space is small and will look a lot better with a flat profile:-...See MoreR H
