Anthracite Grey or White Windows?! Please help!
Hi, tomorrow the builders are in to basically demolish our downstairs so the space we have is more usable big rooms rather than more of little or odd sized rooms. Needless to say, windows are being moved and added as is the front door.
The problem I have is deciding window & door colour - we had decided to go for grey with internal white and then all house would be rendered (really like the modern contempary look), but our roof, which has a high apex and also roofed porch is a dark brown tile. (a lot of roof visible from front of house!)
Would modern grey windows make the roof look horrendous?!? And then money we have spent on new windows and render be wasted as roof would look out of place?(we don't like the roof, but can't afford to replace at the moment with other works going on!)
should I stick to white as a "safe option".
Opinions would be grateful received :)

Comments (17)Sliding doors are proving very popular at the moment as they can stack to one side and not protrude into the garden space and be easier to move than full set of bi-folds so that would an approximate opening of about 4m with 3 x 1.250m (plus frame ) panel of glass that would all stack in parallel inline. Or you could try panoramic doors they are more versatile as they are detachable from each other and give you more options for you layout at the finish. There a tutorial on you tube ? Comments (12)Hi Maja Anthracite grey is a wonderful colour, and probably the most popular on all our products at the moment! They look amazing on houses, although sometimes the brick colour or rendering can mean they may be too dark or perhaps need less contrast, so they may not be right for everybody. A recent customer's house had a visible dark roof, so anthracite grey was a bit too much, and they chose a pale grey instead... I think your brick colour is lovely and pale so will contrast very nicely and will look amazing with anthracite grey - especially in the sunshine! Finished with a timber effect foil, you will hardly notice the difference between uPVC and original timber - except you will be getting all the benefits of a modern maintenance free window.
