Do you have a IKEA Pax? What would you recommend hinged or sliding doo
Comments (11)@Laura took the words right from underneath my fingers. I was going to ask the depth and width of the area where the shelves currently are. I've just had a PAX installed and I LOVE IT. My configuration is Two sets of 2 x 100cm wide (236cm H) units with the Harvik doors. I had them shortened as my ceiling didn't allow for the full height hence why I picked the easily hackable Harvik. The easy option is 4 x 75cm units with sliding doors of course. In one of my units, the inside was wallpapered and has a standard shelf which my monitor rests on and a pull out shelf directly below it that I use as a desk. I even have power in there so the cables are neat. the Pax really are an outstanding solution. A word of advice though to avoid extra expense and wasted time, especially if you are having someone install them; check them as soon as they arrive as the units can be damaged Good luck and pictures please :)...See MorePOLL: How have you dressed your bedroom windows?
Comments (27)I have decided that shutters/venetian blinds make rooms darker, gather dust and are fairly 'heavy' to look at, so, not for me. All others options are quite ok according to the situation of the property and personal taste. However, if you yourself like shutters or venetian blinds, then they are ok too, just don't expect me to have them. All boils down to he/she who pays the piper calls the tune....See MoreWhen would you sacrifice a bedroom
Comments (34)Money aside then but don't forget a bracket is a guide and if you're a cash buyer for example you could be in a better postion than others.. It's all negotiation and they might try it on so I would still not let that worry you unless it's way off. So until you get an offer accepted or are in sealed bids situation all that's important is try to narrow down the parameters. Perhaps give your list to a somewhat impartial eye who can perhaps be objective about your needs.. Re list if it's list of properties that will be easier than finding a house that fills a list of requirements. Generally no house is absolutely perfect and sometimes compromise is necessary and perhaps some work. This might help you or not :))...See MoreLittle girl bedroom/ Baby boy nursery
Comments (3)I know what you mean and yes it would be great to get the stair case in and I will defiantly do it at some point but it is a pretty big job and I dont want to be disturbing everyone my daughter starts school in September my partner works full time and I'm pregnant so having renovations done now seams a lot and we've only been back to normal after the upheaval of living in temporary accommodation for 4 month after the floods while my house was getting done. Realistically we should of done the stair case then but it added a bit of extra time into being able to come home and after 4 month we were ready for home and our lease was up on the temporary house so we were working to a deadline. There is a stair gate at the bottom of the ladder as it sits on 2 steps so safely wise it's not a problem and I do have toys hidden away in different areas of the house so if they want to play in an other room they can. Logistically I can't see a reason why it won't work but decor wise it's a challenge....See MoreInkmill Vinyl
