How to make this bathroom look stylish
Hello Houzzers!
This is my bathroom. The last pic above is the most recent. As you can see, there is no built-in storage, so I've fitted a mirror cabinet, floating shelf, and small cabinet into the space. I've also recently bought some towels in stone colour as in the pic below. Just now wondering how to decorate the space and bring it all together. Thanks in advance!

Comments (18)I've been thinking about options to cover all basis and came up with this. To allow guests to use a bath/shower the ensuite would be shared. I added a wall in the master bedroom to divide it and add privacy so guests don't have to walk into the bedroom to get to the bath/shower. The upsides are that the ensuite is larger, includes a bath and shower and has more vanity room. Also, by diving the bedroom I can add sort of a walk-in wardrobe. The downsides are that there's only one bath/shower that has to be shared and guests have to walk through the walk-in wardrobe to get to it. Also, it reduces the size of the master bedroom but it's quite a long room anyway and it would cut out the light from the windows in the bedroom. Comments (7)Hi, Personally I think the walls are fine in the colour they are, if you painted them another colour it may make the tiles being white seem a bit odd? I think probably adding some accessories will bring the room together and make you feel better about the colour, some fluffy white towels and glass or maybe aged copper style accessories would work nicely I think. I'm not sure how far ahead you are with your renovations but a marble topped cabinet would look very nice in here too. 7 years agoHi Maxine, I like how you have tried making the bathroom look more stylish using a storage mirror, however, in my opinion I would of used that back wall as a feature by maybe adding a larger mirror with a thin frame around it. Also where u have that minimal vanity unit next to the bath, consider adding some greenery to it.
Here is an example which would make this bathroom have a bit more character.

7 years agolast modified: 7 years agoHi Maxine. I like your bathroom, I think it just needs accessorising. I think you've only got a handheld shower (?) so a canvas or print over the bath should be fine, I've got a canvas without any issue. I'd try and bring in some texture for accessories with a natural sponge, loofah, flannel, candle, rattan etc. You could create a little vignette on a tray on the storage unit. John Lewis do the white marble one for £18 I think. I quite liked it whenever you had a couple of black accents, I've added a pic of Aesop toiletries as they're so popular but try Meraki for a cheaper version or use ornaments as per 3rd pic.. I know you've just bought towels but I quite like the hammam ones pictured to bring in the darker colour. I'm not green fingered but if you google House plants that don't need light there are a few that come up. Alternatively for faux try Cox and Cox, Abigail ahern, rockett st George. You can normally find a 20% discount code for Cox and coz. I'd just accessorise slowly as and when budget allows but hopefully a couple of ideas are very budget friendly
